To paraphrase a Cuban Chicago friend, "that water is not warm enough to swim in at the end of August," let alone to hop into in late October for a quickie getaway.A man fleeing from Chicago police early this morning tried to get away by jumping into Lake Michigan, but officers simply waited on shore until he got so cold he had to come out of the water, WGN-AM 720 reported.
