I'm Back!

Yep, I'm switching back over to Blogger. They've added a few features that are just too sweet to pass up, plus, you know, there's the "free" thing. Love that.

I'm going to transfer all my Typepad posts, THEN go back and fix them (there are some unnecessary hard returns and spaces, but everything else is fine), and we'll be up and running in no time. Thanks for hanging in there with me.

How did you import your posts from typepad into blogger?

Unfortunately, I'm doing it by hand. There may be a more expedient method but so far I've had no luck with any post importing features.

Welcome back. It will be easier to leave you comments this way.

Geez,
Because of various outages over on blogger, I'd been tempted to go the other way. Of course, you sort of get what you pay for and at the price Blogger's an incredible deal.

Welcome back to Blogger Bella....

Funny that you should be coming back here the same week that I've had Blogger summarily delete a post outright, presumably because it saved during one of their weird outages.

I've heard good things about the Beta version though...

Let us know.

I'm sure you'll have more people say this than you want to hear, but you must be very strong to want to come TO blogger right now. The servers are down easily 15-25% of the time recently (all of last weekend) and no response from anyone at Google. On the other hand, you have lots of control and it's free. I look forward to reading you no matter where you are!

Yeah, I've already experienced some outage issues, but I'm just feeling very tightwad-y these days, and now that Blogger offers tags (or labels, whatever they're calling them), it didn't seem reasonable to pay almost $200 a year for scheduled posts, which was the only other advantage Typepad had over Blogger. (Plus, it's kind of cool to have almost two years' worth of posts all in the same place. It blows my mind to go back and read my first four or five posts. I've come a long way.)
