Saul, Have You Never Been Bellow?

All of the sudden I'm obsessed with Saul Bellow. I read some funny little quote of his about Chicago, and now I'm reading about him all over the place. Perhaps this will culminate in me actually writing something interesting. History suggests that I'll simply read and read and produce nothing, but have hope. For now:
