Zookeepers in Tokyo named the dwarf hamster Gohan as a joke, because it means "meal" in Japanese. It was put in the snake's cage in October for the reptile's supper. Zookeepers said the critters have been sharing the cage ever since.
The snake eventually developed an appetite for frozen rodents. But so far, it shows no signs of eyeing its furry little friend for dinner. The hamster even climbs onto the 4-foot-long snake's back to take naps.
