Neanderthals were my peeps, so says the journal Science, yo:
"Some Neanderthals may have had fair skin and red hair, giving them an appearance resembling modern Europeans, an international team of researchers said on Thursday."
Maybe it was the lack of Coppertone that ultimately did them in?

That would explain my penchant for mastodon meat.
Dude, have you ever had mastodon étouffée with a little palaeoloxodon corn pudding on the side? Mmmmm.
Wait, are you saying you identify as a redhead?
I'm still confused about the Neandrathals. They were in Europe at the same time as the Cro Magnons. They are 97! geneticallly similar to us, but so is a chimpanzee. Are we descended from the Neandrathals or not?
Supposedly we are not. I think there were theories for awhile that they had interbred with us, but then it was decided that they faded away, for reasons still unknown.
Nothing says turn on like a stooped gait. Meow!
A stooped gait and a lumpy brow have always been big turn ons for me!
Perhaps the social stigma and ostracization of being ginger was too much for them. COPPER POWER! (imagine fist raised here)
