Me/Mine-in-the-Media Roundup

Some of my old sports pictures are featured in this Jezebel article (about readers' sports fashion stylings of yesteryear).

I wrote this little tribute to my late Uncle, jazz musician Jim Snyder in Chicago MetBlogs today, after seeing the Dixieland Cubs band.

I had this piece about court reporting published in the Indianapolis Star. And this piece about balance issues related to age. (And other things you'll probably never read but that are paying my bills.)

I'm covering the Macy's Glamorama event for the Chicago Olympic Committee tonight, with Robert Buscemi as my on-camera talent. Dang, I'd better iron something quick!

My brother Andrew Snyder is on the front page of the Zionsville Times-Sentinel (italics mine):

"Zionsville native Andrew Snyder works independently as an artistic director whose recently organized events for the Chicago 2016 Olympic Bid Committee. Snyder’s most recent event was a private July fundraiser that brought in $12.2 million for the committee...Chicago will wait until fall 2009 when the IOC makes its official selection. All four cities have the facilities and the means to host the 2016 Olympic games, but Chicago is the only candidate with Andrew Snyder on its side. He’s a dedicated citizen of his town, and brings a unique combination of skills to put Chicago’s best face forward."

Awwww!

I still haven't seen the Z-ville article, but Andrew's mentioned all of the really sweet emails he's been getting from people back home :)

Maybe they could hire you as an editor:

Zionsville native Andrew Snyder works independently as an artistic director whose??? recently organized events for the Chicago 2016 Olympic Bid Committee.

Or is that some kind of Indiana idiom?

That's Gloria Swanson, Bryan, or maybe Nellie in a few years.

And yes, anonymous, you're right, the phrasing is a little off in the article. I didn't even notice that when I cut and pasted, which shows you how overloaded my brain is right now.

You cover a serious swath of media with your pen. It's inspiring to watch as I get my own media gears warmed up.

Thank you, Carmi! You are pretty inspirational to me, too.
