One thing I forgot to mention in my earlier post about the identity of purported blogging call girl Belle Du Jour: theories that novelist Stewart Home was the real Belle De Jour brought up the Gender Genie, which supposedly can predict the gender of a writer based on analysis of writing samples. The Gender Genie thought Belle was a man.
I don't have a lot of faith in the Gender Genie, however cool it may be as a concept, mostly because it identified me as overwhelmingly male. Either it's not as accurate as its creators would like to think, or I write like a total dude.
