I am incredibly proud of my brother, who directed this huge fundraising "Chicago Believes" event at Millennium Park last night for Chicago's Olympic efforts. The event raised $12 million. (Look at left! He's #1 on the list!)
My parents came up from Indiana and sat at the $10,000 a table schmancy dinner while Bryan and I (wearing t-shirts and ballcaps) wandered around the gardens and enjoyed part of the concert. We played "spot the Olympian" - they were walking around with name tags on.
I'm super busy.
I'm working on an awesome new writing gig with a major Chicago hospital - a wonderful project I can totally put my heart into, with/for people who sincerely care about their work.
Also, tonight is ChUC and I have a million things to do.
Blog at ya later!
(Edit: video of the event can be seen on ABC and CBS.)
