Fashion: Do Not Want

My loved ones know I am fashion-impaired. I can try to justify it however I want: I'm too busy to think about clothes and hair and makeup. I am living on a limited budget. I'm a little OCD/body dysmorphic/self-conscious/shy.

Terrifying truth be told, I wore the same pair of jeans almost all winter last year, until a snaggy patch split the butt wide open (at which point I simply started wearing leggings underneath), and this spring and summer I've been wearing a pair of my boyfriend's shorts at least every other day.

Nevertheless, what Kohl's is trying to convince me is attractive and appropriate fashion for women is clearly a big fat lie. Case in point at left.

This is confusing to me. Are legs supposed to look like that?

Do you know what I dont understand? 3/4 length sleeve jackets.

Isnt the point of a jacket to cover and keep you warm? BUt apparently they are the thing right now...

Oh god, don't remind me. My last pair of favorite jeans is starting to split in unflattering places. Guess it'll be back to wearing burlap sacks for me.

alright, somebody lied to that girl. She should feel guilty. She should feel really, really awful about what she's done.

Egh

You don't want to look like an adult in an AMerican Girl Molly costume?!?!

You have officially been declared UNCOOL. By me.

C'mon — you can't rock the red knee-high socks? That's an everywoman look.

I saw that ad and I almost cried. Who? Where? Why?

I feel so gratified that seven of you agree with me that this is fug.

(Well, except for Microfiber Militia. Perhaps she'd like to knit something more attractive for me?)
